Looking for luxurious accommodation in central Atlantic Canada? Consider staying at Maplehurst Manor in Dorchester, New Brunswick. We offer you the most comfortable and lavish bed and breakfast experience possible.
Built in 1858, this completely restored home was built by one of the Fathers of Confederation, Edward Baron Chandler. Enjoy the elegant ensuites and large comfortable bedrooms featuring restored fireplaces and a mix of period furnishings and décor. The bedding and pillows are all luxurious linens and made for comfort. The private sitting areas in your room can also be used for an in-room meal.
The formal dining room, which is intimate enough for two and large enough for twelve, is where our signature candle lite breakfasts are served. Served on fine china with silver wear, our multi-course hot gourmet breakfasts are prepared with locally grown ingredients, including fresh farm eggs.
The meals and treats are prepared in our professional-style kitchen. It has a nice blend of full-size commercial appliances that can handle the needs of a large group of people for a full multicourse meal.
The manor is also home to freshly baked cookies and treats that guests can enjoy. They go great with an espresso, cappuccino, or latte produced by our European coffee shop-styled machine.

This was a wonderful place for my partner, and I stay for a couple of nights while visiting dear friends. The level of service and care to attention by the owners was amazing. I would definitely go there again in a heartbeat.! Andrew P Geisterfer2025-06-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Relaxation defined! Best sleep of my life! The owners were warm and caring and had freshly baked goods ready in our room when we arrived! The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. With a little Victorian flair, it called to my inner spirit! The bathtub with the chandelier above was so nice, I ended up having two baths during my stay. The beds were comfortable, and the decor was tasteful and elegant. Next morning, we got to choose from a menu and met the owner downstairs in her living room for brunch. Everything was served on beautiful china, by candle light, with soft piano music playing in the background. I ordered the waffles, and the owner was kind enough to accommodate my dairy allergy. She even gave us a small tour of the main living room and upstairs too! We were sent on our way with more delicious baked goods and promise to return every spring. These owners and experience truly deserve their 5 star rating, especially for all the little details. You won't be disappointed in this stay. Elegant rooms, kind and friendly hosts, a fabulous breakfast—all make this a wonderful stopover! We have stayed here several times, and look forward to doing so again. The room was so comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners were very kind. There were so many nice touches - and Rosie the dog is definitely a highlight! My only complaint is that I didn't do half the sightseeing I was planning on, because the property was so nice I didn't want to leave. The rooms are gorgeous and a treat for anyone wanting a relaxing soak. The little extras in the room of water, coffee, and tea in REAL china mugs was delightful. Now. The breakfasts. They were thoughtful, delicious, and personal. The morning of the wedding, Marisca made sure we were fed and cafinated. There are not enough stars for this experience. It was like staying at the home of a friend for the weekend. Wojo Marx2024-09-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I had a delightful stay at Maplehurst Manor in July. The home is gorgeous, and our room had everything we needed plus the most luxurious bathroom! Our breakfast was delicious and upon arrival and leaving we were treated to homemade cookies. We recommend this bed and breakfast to couples/ families or anyone looking for a relaxing get away.
